I started my career in the insurance industry when I was 19 years old as a Customer Service Representative, then Account Representative, working my way to Office Manager and eventually opened my own agency in Mahopac on December 1st 2016. I love being able to help protect what our customers and their families work so hard to obtain. As an agency owner, I am given a platform to make a difference through fundraising and community involvement which I’m passionate about.
I was born in the Fiji Islands and shortly after moved to the US. I grew up between Hawaii, Arizona, Fiji, New York, and I now live in Connecticut (No…my parents were not in the military; more like adventurers). I attended college while working for an Insurance agency in Yonkers, NY and received my Bachelors in Business Management from Monroe College in New Rochelle.
I need a daily dose of outdoors. I like hiking, camping, and kayaking with family and friends. I was heavy into kickboxing and tried my hand at women’s full contact football, but decided not to test the limits with that one, even though it was a lot of fun.
I am a charter member and secretary of the newly formed Mahopac Lions Club, a volunteer for Love Holds Life and Community Cares, which are both organizations that assist families battling cancer. I am a member of the Mahopac-Carmel Chamber of Commerce and on a couple Committees there; and recently, I joined the committee for Walk to End Alzheimer’s taking place in October.
The Clarke in Smith & Clarke Agency. I’m a software development manager and co-owner, of the agency. I’m involved in the strategic planning and marketing, IT (of course) and supporting Smith & Clarke Agency’s Mission. It’s rewarding to be a part of an agency that makes a difference in people’s lives, not just insuring them, but taking a real interest in what’s important to them.
I am a native of Jamaica and moved to New York at a young age. I completed my education and started my career in Computer Science and Software Development. I am passionate about health and fitness. My most recent hobby (or obsession, according to my wife) is golf. When I’m not working I’m golfing, watching sports, and spending time with my family. I’m also training for my second Spartan race now. I really like a challenge.
I volunteer every opportunity I get; mostly through the Smith & Clarke Agency now. Whatever they’re involved in, so am I.
I have worked for a major insurance carrier and managed agencies since 1996. I’ve been fully licensed in Property & Casualty and Life & Health since 1997. The work I do is very personal to me, protecting assets and people’s lives.
I was born In Aigion, Greece and came to New York in 1974, but still spend summers in Greece. I have moved back and forth several times throughout the years, but made my move permanent in 2003. I still speak Greek fluently.
I am most passionate about MUSIC – Greek, country and the love of my life since 1976 has been Elvis Presley. When I’m not working I enjoy just being home, cooking Greek food and taking care of my family and home. I also have a New York State esthetician license because I am really interested in the beauty and skincare field.
Working at the Smith & Clarke Agency has provided several volunteer opportunities and a chance to give back to the community, but I am most excited to see the difference we make.
I have years of customer service experience. I obtained my Property & Casualty insurance license a little over a year ago. I love to help people. I find it rewarding to help others find solutions to their situations and help them in their time of need.
I was born in NY and have lived there, NJ, and now I live in CT. I graduated from WestConn with my Bachelors in Business and am working toward owning my own business shortly.
Personally, I like to hang out with my cousins and family. I enjoy going to vineyards, hiking, and experiencing any new adventure. Favorite way to spend the weekend? Other than napping, I like to read, do yoga, just hang out and experience new things. My guilty pleasure is binge-watching shows on Netflix.
When it comes to giving back, I’ve volunteered for United Way in the past. I have a cousin on the autism spectrum, so my passion is Autism Speaks. I’ve done walks and would like to do more to get involved in that.
I have over 30 years of diverse experience as an award winning broker/agent and Corporate executive as a sales VP of 2 companies. I most enjoy finding financial solutions to client’s life challenges.
I grew up in Newark NJ and West Caldwell NJ. One was a marked improvement over the other. I have been very active in my communities on many levels and chaired many Boards and events. I am truly passionate and really enjoy many things. As a lifelong athlete, the challenge of excellence always impresses the heck out of me.
As a single parent with joint custody of a adolescent son my favorite weekends are spent finding adventures and time enjoyed with him, friends or aging family.
As a Board member I have chaired or co chaired everything from Make a Wish CT to the Redevelopment agency of SW CT to PTA Treasurer of my son’s elementary school.
I am a licensed Health and Life Agent for almost two years. I look forward to learning and helping within this industry for many years to come. I have been in the top 20 Agents for the Northeast Territory for the first 2 quarters of 2018 with hopefully more to come! My favorite part about my job is being able to help and meet with so many people. I look forward to learning and growing within this industry until I’m 99 years old.
In my young years I lived on Air Force Bases with my family and then settled on Long Island. I now live in Westchester County since 2000. I enjoy spending time with my wonderful family and friends. Cooking, entertaining, traveling to new places and being outdoors are also on the top of my list.
I am relatively new to the insurance industry. I worked for two seasons during the Open Enrollment Period assisting enrollees with healthcare.gov health insurance enrollments and buying supplements for on- and off- exchange health insurance under the Affordable Care Act for VelaPoint Personal Insurance in Hillsboro, Oregon. When OEP ended I added Property and Casualty Lines of Authority to my insurance license. I am passionate about finding out more about my customers insurance needs and ensuring that their coverage leaves no gaps to make sure that they are well protected in the event of an unexpected event. My goal is to ensure that with every quote or policy written that my prospect or customer fully understands their insurance policy and how their protection insures them against potential perils.
I was born in New York, moved to Vermont for 12 years and then to Oregon for six years. Immediately after surviving severe damage to my apartment from a fire in an adjacent apartment (and luckily had Renter’s Insurance), I decided to return to New York to be close to my family and my roots. Though I live in White Plains now, I spent the better part of my childhood growing up in nearby Yorktown Heights. I view my tenure here at the Smith & Clarke Agency as returning to the Northern Westchester and Putnam county community of my youth. I am excited with the community involvement of this agency in Community Cause.
I love music and movies and collect and use fountain pens and ink. I actively journal and try to do some writing every day. I also love my purebred Blue Point Siamese cat, Sky Blue, and make sure to give her cuddles everyday. On weekends we spend a great deal of time together with her curled up on my lap. She’s most happy when I’m home and she keeps an ever-present eye on me. On Facebook I am very active in Siamese and fountain pen groups and in the real-life communities of Siamese Cat lovers and fountain pen collectors and writing communities. My guilty pleasure is that I love watching television and reading books especially historical fiction and the mysteries with Siamese Cats as the detectives in “The Cat Who…” series by Lilian Jackson Braun.
I support the recovery community and am passionate about reducing or eliminating homelessness and poverty, actively supporting organizations that promote recovery, homeless shelters, food pantries and of course the Humane Society for animals.
